Traitement d'eau par Electro-Déionisation (Stilmas)
Electro-deionisation (EDI) is a purification method combining several technologies including ion exchange on specific resins, membrane separation and electrodialysis.

Using polarised membranes, an electric field allows the extraction of ionised substances that are either mineral or organic.
This electro-deionisation system consists of a series of semi-permeable membranes made up of alternating compartments that make the ion-free water circulate (compartment filled with mixed bed resins) as well as the concentrated solution intended for evacuation.

DONNÉES TECHNIQUES

The ion displacement is effected by applying a direct current to two electrodes that attract ions of opposite polarity. This process creates very deionised water that has a resistivity exceeding 15 Mégohm.cm.

Elsewhere, in order to ensure the evacuation of the concentrates, a centrifugal pump is used to extract a quantity of concentrated mixture. This pump is adjustable, and defines the conversion rate of the device.

As the electro-deionisation system is dynamic, the resins are constantly regenerated by the continued operation of an electric field, which renders the use of chemicals (acid, soda, ....) unnecessary.
